Spanish Verb DIRIGIR: to direct

The Spanish verb dirigir means 'to direct' and is an irregular Spanish IR verb.

To remember this, imagine you direct a fleet of DIRIGIBLES!

dirigir algo hacia alguien: to point something towards someone.

Spanish to direct is dirigir dirigirse (vr): to direct oneself.
dirigirse hacia algo (vr): to head for something.
dirigirse a alguien (vr): to address someone, to speak to someone.

Spanish for direct is dirigir dirigir un ataque: to lead an attack.
dirigir un estudio: to manage research / a study.

you informal vos replaces - you, informal, singular -
- in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and also in some countries of Central America.
Sometimes it also replaces the formal singular 'Usted'.
In irregular IR verbs, the conjugations remain the same as for except for the addition of accents in the following tenses:
Presente:      vos dirigís
