Spanish Verb OLVIDAR: to forget

The Spanish verb olvidar means 'to forget' and is a regular Spanish AR verb.

To remember this, imagine the man forgets the OLD VIDEO!

olvidar (a/de) can also mean: to leave (behind); to leave out, omit.
olvidarse (vr): to forget.
olvidar(se) hacer algo: to forget to do something.

olvidado (pp/adj: forgotten.
olvidado de Dios: Godforsaken (lit. forgotten by God).
olvidadizo/a (adj m/f): forgetful.
Ella es muy olvidadiza: She is very forgetful.

el olvido (nm): forgetfulness, oversight; obscurity, obvlivion.
La distancia hace el olvido: Out of sight, out of mind (lit. distance makes one forgetful).
echar a alguien el olvido: To throw someone into oblivion; to forget about someone.

vos replaces tú - you, informal, singular -
- in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and also in some countries of Central America.
Sometimes it also replaces the formal singular 'Usted'.
In regular AR verbs, the conjugations remain the same as for tú except for the addition of accents in the following tenses:
Presente: vos olvidás
Imperativo: ¡olvidá!
