Spanish Verb RENDIR: to conquer

The Spanish verb rendir means 'to conquer ' and is an irregular Spanish IR verb.

To remember this, imagine you conquer and subdue the REINDEER!

Around 30 verbs are conjugated like rendir, replacing the e with an i in the present, preterite, subjunctive and imperative tenses.

Spanish verb rendir - conquer rendir can also mean: to pay (ie tribute); to yield. to produce; to be productive, to be profitable.
rendirse: to surrender, to give up.
rendirse al enemigo: to surrender to the enemy.

rendir homenaje / tributo: to pay homage / tribute.
rendida (pp/adj): devoted, captivated; exhausted (estar); submissive.

Spanish for conquer is rendir la rendición (nf): surrender; yield, output; rendering, balancing (accts).
rendidor/a (adj): productive.
rendidamente (adv): devotedly, submissively.

you informal vos replaces - you, informal, singular -
- in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and also in some countries of Central America.
Sometimes it also replaces the formal singular 'Usted'.
In irregular IR verbs, the conjugations remain the same as for except for the addition of accents in the following tenses:
