Spanish Verb SOÑAR: to dream

The Spanish verb soñar means 'to dream ' and is an irregular Spanish AR verb.

To remember this, imagine dreaming of SONYA!

Soñar changes the stem in the Present, Present Subjunctive and Imperative tenses.

Spanish for dream is soñar soñar con algo/alguien: to dream about/of something/one.
soñar en voz alta: to talk in one's sleep.
Note: sonar: to ring, to sound.

Spanish for dream is soñar ¡Ni lo sueñes! Don't even think about! (Lit: don't dream about it!)
la casa soñada: dream house.

Spanish for dream is soñar el sueño (nm): dream, sleep.
tener sueño: to be sleepy, tired.
el sonámbulo / la sonámbula (nm/f): sleepwalker.
el sonambulismo (nm): sleepwalking.

you informal vos replaces - you, informal, singular -
- in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and also in some countries of Central America.
Sometimes it also replaces the formal singular 'Usted'.
In irregular AR verbs, the conjugations remain the same as for except for the addition of accents in the following tenses:
Presente:  vos soñás
Imperativo:  ¡soñá!

  HOW TO CONQUER SPANISH VERB CONJUGATION   

  • The Spanish verb for dream soñar is an Irregular AR verb.
  • Learn to conjugate soñar and it will reinforce this irregular pattern.
