1. CONSOLIDATE YOUR VOCAB LESSONS WITH NARRATIVES
--------------------
Listen now to the French and Spanish narratives we've loaded online now (no cost). Download them as PODCASTS and listen to them on your iPod, laptop, PC etc.

These are narratives and dialogues that incorporate all the words (and more) from the each lesson in our 200 Words a Day courses.

You will soon be able to read and listen to more of the vocab learnt in your 200 Words a Day! courses, in context with dialogues. We've been busy writing narratives and recording dialogues (by native speakers) that use the words in our 200 Words a Day lessons. These will enable you to consolidate your knowledge of the words, see them in action - in the context of a story - and hear them spoken by native speakers in a 'narrative'.

So, it just gives you another 'angle' from which to use and consolidate the vocabulary that you have learned.

You'll also be able to listen to these narratives on your iPod, PC or laptop as they will be available as downloadable mp3 podcasts also.

Check out the French lesson that relates to Lesson 10 of the 200 Words a Day! Learn French course 1.

The Spanish recording takes a closer look at the verb bajar (to lower), one of the many verbs from 200 Words a Day! Learn Spanish courses.

A suggested way to do use these dialogues/narratives is to do the respective lesson in your 200 Words a Day program. Then listen to the dialogue, and read the accompanying text. The speech is at 'normal' conversation speed, to enable your ear to 'tune' to the pace of normal speech.

While listening to the narratives, write down any of the new vocab that you do not know, and look it up in your dictionary. Listen to the recording several times, and at spaced intervals. The more times you listen, the more your subconscious will get used to the pace of speech, as the words, idioms, sayings and euphemisms embed into your brain.

Narratives into all Courses: In time we will be adding these narratives to our courses, so that each lesson has a narrative putting all the words into a 'story', but in the interim you can listen to them online as we will add be regularly adding them to the website, every week or so. All the French narratives are ready. Spanish ones are written and being recorded.

Automatic Notification: To get automatic notification of these, just click on to our RSS feed buttons (top left corner of most webpages), and a message will be sent to your PC whenever a new page is loaded on our site.
