The French for cross is the regular ER verb traverser.. To remember this, imagine crossing the road is TRAVIS the singer, TRAVERSING it.
Other translations include: to traverse; to cross from one side to another; to go/cross over; to go across; to go/pass through; to run/flow through (ie a river flowing through the countryside). la traversée: crossing;
- faire la traversée: to a make the crossing / to cross on foot
- en travers: to be situated across/in.
