Spanish Verb CONTINUAR: to continue

The Spanish verb continuar means 'to continue ' and is an irregular Spanish AR verb.

To remember this, imagine the snail says, "CONTINUE YOU ARE on the right track!"

Continuar makes conjugation changes in the Present, Present Subjunctive and Imperative tenses by adding an accent to the u.
During the first part of November a new irregular UAR verb is featured each day to enable you to consolidate some of the AR verb families. You will learn other verbs with similar patterns such as actuar, evaluar, fluctuar, habituar, and others.
I find that the fastest and easiest way to learn and REMEMBER new Spanish words is with memory trigger cartoon pictures. It makes them harder to forget.

you informal vos replaces - you, informal, singular -
- in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and also in some countries of Central America.
Sometimes it also replaces the formal singular 'Usted'.
In irregular AR verbs, the conjugations remain the same as for except for the addition of accents in the following tenses:

Presente de Subjuntivo:  vos continúes (Central America)

  HOW TO CONQUER SPANISH VERB CONJUGATION   

  • The Spanish verb for continue continuar is an Irregular AR verb.
  • Learn to conjugate continuar and it will reinforce this irregular pattern.
  • Do a series of verbs every day for a month and you will have a solid knowledge of the verbs' conjugation patterns. Keep doing them with a new one every day from the Spanish Verbs List.
