Spanish Verb DOLER: to hurt

The Spanish verb doler means 'to hurt' and is an irregular Spanish ER verb.

To remember this, imagine Bob DOLE (m) hurts his political opponent by hitting him with a giant DOLLAR bill!

Spanish verb doler - hurt doler can also mean: to be in pain, to ache.
dolerse de algo: to be hurt by something, to regret something.

Spanish to hurt is doler el dolor (nm): pain, grief.
dolido/a: hurt.
dolorido/a: aching, sore.


Spanish for hurt is doler Estoy todo dolorido: I'm aching all over.
Me duele la cabeza: I have a headache.
Ahí te duele: That's what's wrong with you (lit. that's what's hurting you).
Reírse hasta que te duele: To laugh until it hurts (may hurt you).

you informal vos replaces - you, informal, singular -
- in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and also in some countries of Central America.
Sometimes it also replaces the formal singular 'Usted'.
In irregular ER verbs, the conjugations remain the same as for except for the addition of accents in the following tenses:
Presente:      vos dolés
Imperativo:  ¡dolé!
