Spanish Verb GEMIR: to groan

The Spanish verb gemir means 'to groan ' and is an irregular Spanish IR verb.

To remember this, imagine JEMIMA Khan groans about her GEM 'ERE!

Around 30 verbs are conjugated like gemir, replacing the e with an i in the present, preterite, subjunctive and imperative tenses.

Spanish verb gemir - groan gemir can also mean: to moan; to whine, to grizzle.

Spanish to groan is gemir gemir de dolor: to groan in pain.
gemir de placer: to groan with pleasure.

Spanish for groan is gemir el gemido (nm): moan, moaning, groan, whine.

you informal vos replaces - you, informal, singular -
- in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and also in some countries of Central America.
Sometimes it also replaces the formal singular 'Usted'.
In irregular IR verbs, the conjugations remain the same as for except for the addition of accents in the following tenses:
