Spanish Verb MOVER: to move

The Spanish verb mover means 'to move' and is an irregular Spanish ER verb.

To remember this, imagine MOVING in a car in the Spanish colours!

        USING the SPANISH VERB MOVER      

Spanish verb mover - move mover can also mean: to drive, to wag.
moverse: to move.

Spanish to move is mover el movimiento (nm): motion, movement.
móvil (nm or adj): mobile phone, mobile.
la movida (nf): move. Also the name of an artistic movement in Spain, after Franco's death.

Spanish for move is mover la movida pacifista de los sesenta: the sixties' peace movement.
el movimiento pictórico: school of painting.
no te muevas de ahí: stay right where you are, don't move.
aquello me movió a viajar: that led me to travel.

you informal vos replaces - you, informal, singular -
- in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and also in some countries of Central America.
Sometimes it also replaces the formal singular 'Usted'.
In irregular ER verbs, the conjugations remain the same as for except for the addition of accents in the following tenses:
Presente:      vos movés
Imperativo:  ¡mové!
