Spanish Verb PAGAR: to pay

The Spanish verb pagar means 'to pay' and is an irregular Spanish AR verb.

To remember this, imagine that when you have to pay you curse, "BUGGER! I thought I'd not have to pay!"

Spanish verb pagar - pay pagar can also mean: to repay.
pagar algo por algo: to pay something for something.
pagar algo con algo: to pay for something with something.

Spanish to pay is pagar la paga (nf): payment.
la paga extraordinaria/extra: extra month's salary.
pagadero/a (adj m/f): payable; reasonable (price).
pagadero en cuotas mensuales : to be paid/payable in monthly installments.

Spanish for pay is pagar el pagador / la pagadora: payer (m/f).
Es mal pagador: He is a bad payer.
¿Qué tal es la paga?: What is the pay like?
¡Que Dios se lo pague! (May) God bless you! (lit. May God pay you!)

you informal vos replaces - you, informal, singular -
- in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and also in some countries of Central America.
Sometimes it also replaces the formal singular 'Usted'.
In irregular AR verbs, the conjugations remain the same as for except for the addition of accents in the following tenses:
Presente:      vos pagás
Imperativo:  ¡pagá!
