Spanish Verb REFERIR: to refer

The Spanish verb referir means 'to refer' and is an irregular Spanish IR verb.

Spanish verb referir - refer referir can also mean: to tell, to relate.
referir a alguien a algo : to refer somebody to something .
referir algo a algo : to set something in something .
referirse a algo/alguien: to refer to something/somebody .

Spanish to refer is referir la referencia (nf): reference.
referente a (adj): regarding, concerning.

Spanish for refer is referir Las noticias referentes al golpe de estado.: The news concerning/about the coup d'état.
hacer referencia a algo: to refer to.
punto de referencia: point of reference.
número de referencia: reference number.

you informal vos replaces - you, informal, singular -
- in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and also in some countries of Central America.
Sometimes it also replaces the formal singular 'Usted'.
In irregular IR verbs, the conjugations remain the same as for except for the addition of accents in the following tenses:
