Spanish Verb REZAR: to pray

The Spanish verb rezar means 'to pray' and is an irregular Spanish ZAR verb.

Spanish verb rezar - to pray rezar can also mean: to state.
Como reza el refrán: As the saying goes.

Spanish to pray is rezar el rezo (nm): the prayer.

Spanish for to pray is rezar rezar el rosario : to say/recite the rosary.
rezar por alguien/algo : to pray for something/somebody.

you informal vos replaces - you, informal, singular -
- in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and also in some countries of Central America.
Sometimes it also replaces the formal singular 'Usted'.
In irregular ZAR verbs, the conjugations remain the same as for except for the addition of accents in the following tenses:
Presente:      vos rezás
Subjuntivo:  vos recés
Imperativo:  ¡rezá! ¡No recés!
