Spanish Verb VARIAR: to vary

The Spanish verb variar means 'to vary ' and is an irregular Spanish AR verb.

To remember this, imagine you vary things while dressed in the Spanish colours!

Variar makes conjugation changes in the Present, Present Subjunctive and Imperative tenses by adding an accent to the i.
During a part of November a new irregular IAR verb is featured each day to enable you to consolidate this AR verb family. You will learn other verbs with similar patterns such as aliar, enviar, guiar, criar, and others.
I find that the fastest and easiest way to learn and REMEMBER new Spanish words is with memory trigger cartoon pictures. It makes them harder to forget.

Spanish for vary is variar variar (de) can also mean: to change, to alter.
variar de opinión: to change one's mind.
para variar: for a change.

Spanish for vary is variar la variación (nf): variation, change.
variada (adj): varied, assorted.
la variabilidad (nf): variability.

variable (adj): changeable; moody.
tiempo variable: changeable weather.

you informal vos replaces - you, informal, singular -
- in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and also in some countries of Central America.
Sometimes it also replaces the formal singular 'Usted'.
In irregular AR verbs, the conjugations remain the same as for except for the addition of accents in the following tenses:
Presente:  vos varías
Presente de Subjuntivo:  vos varíes

  HOW TO CONQUER SPANISH VERB CONJUGATION   

  • The Spanish verb for vary variar is an Irregular AR verb.
  • Learn to conjugate variar and it will reinforce this irregular pattern.
  • Do a series of verbs every day for a month and you will have a solid knowledge of the verbs' conjugation patterns. Keep doing them with a new one every day from the Spanish Verbs List.
