I was on my way to Paris (gare de l'Est?) from Sable-sur- Sarthe. As the train pulled into Chartres, I thought I heard an announcement that sounded like "Dix minutes arret".
I rushed to the ticket counter to pick up a mini time table.
When I returned to the platform, my train was gone. The announcement must have been "Deux minutes arret".
At the lost-and-found in Paris, I had to prove that the suitcase left in the train was mine.
I knew my hearing wasn't great; neither is my French
