Spanish Verb AVANZAR: to advance

The Spanish verb avanzar means 'to advance' and is an irregular Spanish ZAR verb.

To remember this, imagine that ADVANCING in A VAN is TSAR Nicholas!

Spanish verb avanzar - to advance avanzar can also mean: to go forward, to make progress, to draw on.

Spanish for to advance is avanzar un avance significativo : significant progress.
un avance de la película : a preview of the movie.
avante a toda máquina : full speed ahead.
Era noche avanzada cuando ... : It was late at night when ...

you informal vos replaces - you, informal, singular -
- in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and also in some countries of Central America.
Sometimes it also replaces the formal singular 'Usted'.
In irregular ZAR verbs, the conjugations remain the same as for except for the addition of accents in the following tenses:
Presente:      vos avanzás
Subjuntivo:  vos avancés
Imperativo:  ¡avanzá! ¡No avancés!
