Spanish Verb AMENAZAR: to threaten

The Spanish verb amenazar means 'to threaten' and is an irregular Spanish ZAR verb.

To remember this, imagine "AMEN!" A TSAR says as you threaten him!

amenazante (adj): threatening, menacing.
amenazador/dora (adj): threatening, menacing.

Spanish for to threaten is amenazar Esas nubes amenazan lluvia: Those clouds look threatening (lit. threaten rain).
amenazar con algo : to threaten something.
Amenaza tormenta: There is a storm brewing.

you informal vos replaces - you, informal, singular -
- in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and also in some countries of Central America.
Sometimes it also replaces the formal singular 'Usted'.
In irregular ZAR verbs, the conjugations remain the same as for except for the addition of accents in the following tenses:
